It doesn't seem that there is any hope between William and Emma...Now that Kelly had passed away and William's dad, Richard is still against them being together, Emma's revelation to Hakim that she wants to go back to her hometown would mean that Emma is giving up William.
William hugging Emma in front of his family entrance simply makes me go WOW! However, that seems to be insufficient when it comes to going against Richard in this matter. Why didn't he chase after Emma after she ran away from his house?He's going to regret it once Emma leaves the city...
