The first original anime to be screened in the Noitamina slot, "Eden of the East" has achieved an average rating of 4.8% for its debut episode. The highest rating within the episode was 5.7%. With this average rating figure, "Eden of the East" shares the third highest average rating for the debut episode in the Noitamina slot with "Bokujo Kitaro" and behind "Moyashimon" and "Nodame Cantabile". Despite the fact that the Noitamina slot is close to 1am in the morning, the figures show the high popularity of animes showcased in this timeslot. In fact, "Eden of the East" grabbed 20.1% of the viewers in the midnight timebelt.
There will also be a movie version after the 11-episode anime series ends its run.
